Writer's Cafe

Students have been working on learning how to write a letter. We ended the unit with writing letters to Santa. Students did a great job on writing their letters. We were so surprised to have Santa come! It was a special treat to read our letters to him!

Gingerbread Day!

Miss Workman read to us The Gingerbread Man but at the end of the story he escaped the book and left us messages all around the school. We went on a hunt to find him!

He left us a box of gingerbread cookies to decoraate and eat! Mmmm!!!

Polar Express

The students each got a bracelet of bells! They believe!

We took a break and drank our hot chocolate and ate cookies!

All the kindergarteners were very excited to ride the Polar Express!

We had a very special conductor who punched out our tickets!

It was PJ Day and it worked out great for students to ride the Polar Express! Miss Workman read the book first thing in the morning and passed out the tickets. Students had to keep track of them all day!

Christmas Program

We went back to our room after the performance and took a group picture! They loved their Santa hats! Merry Christmas!

They had to wait for others to perform and they all sat so nicely and watched the other performers!

Carlos and Ashton are looking good and are ready to sing!

We had our Christmas program this past week and the kids were very cute and very excited to sing their songs! Here they are all lined up and ready to head into the gym!

Beginning, Middle and End

We have been working on Beginning, Middle, and End. I am so proud of students and all that they are doing! They have been reading books and then sharing what the beginning, middle, and end are by drawing pictures and writing about what they have read. Great job Miss Workman's class! You are making this teacher very proud!

We had close to 140 people at our Family Celebration. It was such a great time with a potluck dinner and a short performance. The kids did such a great job and even had their Kindergarten teacher near tears. I am so proud of them and all that they have learned this year so far! I am thankful for a wonderful class. Happy Thanksgiving!

Popcorn Words

Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

It was a very wet snow!

We caught snowflakes on pieces of black felt. We were able to see that each snowflake is a different size and shape!

We were doing our morning meeting this past Wednesday and were looking outside at the weather and saw it was snowing! We could not resist and just had to check it out! After our fun adventure we came inside and listened to a little Christmas music!

Fall Party

The kids made noise makers for the craft!

We got to show off our costumes in the Parkview parade! It was fun to see everyone's costumes.

They were so cute! Here we all are. I am in the back as Cindy Lou from Whoville! We had such a great party and the kids were so good. They made some fun noise makers and had a delicious snack with apples and juice. It was a really great day!

Twin Day

This past week was Spirit Week at Parkview. Livy and Lauren were our twins on Twin Day! They were so cute and are such good friends!

Shaving Cream

Shaving cream can be so fun for kids to write with at their tables. It smells great and cleans the tables too. We got out the shaving cream for the first time last week and the kids loved it!

We had a wonderful grandparents day with almost 30 adults in our classroom. The kids sang some great songs as well as showed their grandparent around the class.
