Popcorn Words

As students read all of the popcorn words they get a can of pop and a bag of microwave popcorn! These students were the first 3 students to read them and I am sure many will follow soon! Great job Sophie, Ethan and Kaylee!

Red Week

Finding Words

We have had a great week looking for words that we can read. We looked around our classroom, in the school and outside. Students used special word finders to help them look for words that they could read!

First Three Days

We are off to a great start in Kindergarten!

We made a list of how we should come to the carpet.

Students are getting used to their tables and are meeting new friends.

We are learning about centers. These students are learning how to play with the blocks.

Rest time is important each day, especially Fridays!

We read three different books about Chester the raccoon.

Welcome Class of 2010-2011!

I can not believe that school starts in less than two days! Summer has flown by but I am so excited for my classroom to be filled once again with my new kindergarten class. I have been working hard to get my room ready for the first day of school. Soon pictures will be posted of this upcoming group of students!

What a fun filled afternoon! They were so cute and seemed to really enjoy their time making it a special event. We also spent time writing words that started with qu. It was lots of fun!
