A New Year, A New Crew!

Here is our silly class! We are going to have so much fun this year at school! I have really enjoyed getting to know all of these kids and am excited for a great year!

21 students! We are making lots of new friends and love getting to know what school is like.

Here are a few of our favorite things in the classroom:

Vilma loves the word wall. The cool thing is they are magnetic so we can touch them and take them off the board!

Maddie and Christian love the popcorn words and can't wait to read them all to Miss Workman and get their free bag of popcorn and pop!

This group of kids is excited to use the computers! Everyday I am asked at least once, "when can we get on the computers?"

Miranda loves all the books! Miss Workman sure has a lot and can't wait to share her favorites with the new class!

These three boys love the coconut tree with the environmental print on it. They love to read all the words on the trunk!

Colston loves the calendar and can't wait to be the Student of the Day!

This group of girlies love the SMART board! We have become very familiar with how to use it this first week and have enjoyed the games and activities!

The Kindergarten Class!

What a beautiful day for a field trip! We did a scavenger hunt and found lots of neat things outside!

The bugs were very slimy and gross and we loved them!

We loved looking at the turkeys! It was so fun to see them get close to us as we were watching them!

We had to put on special boots to wear into the turkey barn. We did not want to spread disease. It was a gorgeous day at the OARDC and we had a wonderful time! Thank you PTO for paying for us to go!

Pet Day

A few weeks ago we had pet day! It was a great time for us to meet some of the pets in kids families. They tell so many stories about their pets and so it was nice to actually meet the pet! Jonah brought his cat!

Kylee brought her dog!

Eric shared his turtle Tuck with us!

Cayleen brought her rabbit which was perfect for right before Easter! Great job! It was so nice to meet the pets!

Reading Stamina

Junior Achievement

Last week we had a wonderful time with Mr. Garcia! He taught us about money, trade, needs and wants, and saving our money.

Students thought the pop up banks were great that they could use to start saving their money in!

Thank you Mr. Garcia! We loved having you come every day!

Science Friday

We have had some great experiments on Science Friday! Alyssa and Eric did some very neat experiments and they were different!

Washing Lesson

A few weeks ago Mrs. Mountjoy came in and did a lesson on washing. It was a great lesson and students did so well listening and following directions. They were so cute! I had to capture some pictures!

Thank you Mrs. Mountjoy! We now know how to wash ourselves with little or no help at all!
