Miss Workman's Classroom

And here are the kids! They each have a table to sit at and in the middle of the table I keep their crayons, scissors and pencils. Each table has a number and the kids work together to get points for their table. The table with the most points at the end of the week gets to have lunch with Miss Workman on Friday!

Our chicka chicka boom boom tree was just too cute to put away after the first of the year! So, I found a nice little place in the classroom for it. Sonoco, our classroom Partner in Education, donated the trunk of the tree which is a big tube. The top of the tree is a green umbrella covered with green bulletin board paper. At the beginning of the year I had coconuts made out of brown balloons but those did not last!

This is where the kids meet for the Morning Meeting, Kid News, or any time we gather at the carpet.

This is a picture of the leveled library in our classroom. The books are organized my genres, levels, and authors. A big thanks to Mrs. Tillman's dad who made each of the teachers in our building 2 book shelves! They are so nice!

  1. Awwww! I finally get to see the chica chica boom boom tree! :-) Cute pics, Erin! Hope you're having a super week! (P.S. - I saw you running last night... but you were too far away and had your headphones on... so I didn't bother yelling! Hope it was a pleasant run for you!)
